I've spent a week here, I gave a keynote speech but I spent more of my time working on the assignments for course number three. We give you a very unfinished code, or code that's barely related and we want you to construct them, because that's, the real skill of programming is to be able to face a problem, a puzzle and puzzle your way through upon thinking it. So don't feel like you gotta like slap this and just get her done.

Hello and welcome to my video that shows how to get started and install Python on Microsoft Windows. I like writing the command line because you, it's, after awhile it's important to know what folder things are being run in. And so I- I hope that this little introduction about getting things started and writing your first Python program has been helpful to you.

The snipping tool exists on earlier versions of Windows as well, and so the gestures and the UI might look a little different, but it's about the same. So I'm going to hit the Windows icon and I'm going to type the s-n, and it brings up the snipping tool. If I close this window, and I click on Notepad, you will see that it's got the little scribbling thing.

Now you'll notice that it's not syntax highlighting yet, but I'm going to do a File, Save, oopsie daisy. File > Save As, and I'm going to go into my Desktop, and I want to make a folder called py4e. I hope this was helpful to you to get Python 3 installed on your Macintosh.

We go into Macintosh hard drives, we go to Applications, and then we search down for Preview. Preview's the application that that was originally built to view PDFs on the Macintosh, but it also has a whole series of screen capture capabilities. You can either grab a rectangular selection, which you'll be allowed to draw with your cursor, or a window, or the whole screen when timed.
