How to Deliver Technology Presentations Intro

The first thing you need to do and you are planning a technology presentation is really step back for a minute and ask yourself just one thing.

What is the goal of my technology presentation.

What is it.

I actually want this audience to do.

Do you want them to buy your new iPhone.

Do you want them to approve an I.T. budget.

I need you to write down in one sentence what it is you want your audience to do now.

This isn’t how most people start presentations.

They start by gathering all the specs all the facts all the numbers all the details on the processing capabilities.

They start with lots and lots and lots of data that is not an effective way to start a technology presentation so don’t do anything else don’t write your speech.

Don’t come up with PowerPoint slides yet.

Just give me this one sentence on what your actual goal is from this presentation from this presentation.
