Your Messages

Now it’s time to organize your message in a more systematic way.

I’ve tested audiences all over the world and ask them who’s the best speaker you’ve seen in the last year the last five years.

Now how many separate distinct messages do you remember from that speaker.

And this includes motivational speakers and includes business gurus trainings all types of speakers and in many many years I’ve asked that question thousands of times people often so I don’t remember anything or more the person’s style.

They’re funny or sometimes one point occasionally two sometimes three every once in a while someone will remember for ideas and once every six months I’ll find somebody who remembers five key ideas from the best speaker they’ve seen in their life.

I’ve never actually encountered anyone who remembered more than five ideas so I’m a big believer.

It’s kind of a waste of time to try to convey more than five ideas in a motivational speech or any other speech.

Yeah you can convey a lot more in your book but not in your speech.

So that’s what I want you to do right now.

You’ve got tons and tons of great ideas and all sorts of things you did to be successful.

I need you to put them in priority.

Write down on a piece of paper or a computer screen.

Every single idea you would want to communicate with an audience then put them in priority and then narrow it down to just five ideas.
