Build Your English Grammar Skills Daily By Doing this...

Derek and I are going to dive in here in the nitty gritty in a moment but first one more quick tip.

If you want to really improve your English grammar skills when it comes to speaking and writing, the single biggest piece of advice I have for you is speak and write every day in English and do it in a public forum.

You can post a blog, you can post on Twitter.

The sheer fact that you’re writing every day, knowing that other people who don’t know you, who aren’t your best friends, are going to be looking at it will encourage you to hold yourself to high standards and it will subject you to critiques and feedback.

Now nobody likes to be publicly criticized but if the stakes are low if it’s a blog that’s not a part of your career or main business, then it’s not the end of the world if someone catches you on a mistake.

So that’s the beauty of writing daily for other people to see - if you don’t do that at least right for yourself.

Now, I’ve written half a dozen books but I also write a daily journal every day just for me.

I write a poem every day, just for me.

There are a number of things I write every single day.

Every single time you write in English using grammar, you have the opportunity to build your skills.

The other thing is, look for opportunities to speak.

You may post on Facebook from time to time, your thoughts of the day, what’s going on on the news.

Why

not take out your cell phone, do a Facebook Live?

Speak just to your friends and family.

Let them see you speaking.

It gives you an opportunity to use English grammar in a spoken way.

The next step up - post your video on YouTube.

Talk about something - a hobby, your career, sports whatever it is but talk about.

You don’t have to become a YouTube star and try to get billions of views and make a fortune.

The sheer act of speaking out loud, talking about ideas of concern to you, will help you internalize the rules of grammar that you’re going to learn here, will help you to build your confidence.

The more you speak, the more you write, the better you’ll get at all of this.
