متن انگلیسی درس

Here’s a little secret when it comes to people who always use perfect English grammar.

Guess what.

These people don’t exist.

Everybody makes a mistake now and then.

I’m not perfect.

I make grammar mistakes.

Derek isn’t perfect, although he’s pretty close.

But the advantage we have the advantage you will soon have is we’re not afraid to ask for feedback.

Now authors have editors going through everything they do.

Journalists have editors to revise it, critique it.

Check for grammar.

You can do it too.

You can ask a family member, friend, colleague, some other associate, to read anything that you’ve written and give you feedback on style, on substance, and yes, on grammar.

Don’t ever be so arrogant as to think I am perfect and I know how to do this.

You can always learn and you know what?

Derek and I have a lot of experience between us but we can learn from you.

That’s right.

I want to learn from you.

So here’s the thing - here’s my challenge to you.

If you catch me committing any grammar mistakes, speaking to you or in the written format, let me know right away.

If you see Derek making any mistakes in this course.

Anything you see in the headlines, the lecture titles, anything we say when we are speaking to you, anything in the books that are attached as bonuses.

Let me know because I want to correct it.

In most situations, people will not penalize you if you make a simple grammar mistake.

But if they take the time to alert you that there is a grammar mistake and you still don’t fix it, that’s when people do get annoyed.

That’s when they will count it against you.

So I went on to walk the talk.

I want to practice what I preach.

I want to make this course better.

So if you see any English grammar mistakes in this course, either your ear detecting it or your eye, please send a message or write it down in the course Q and A section as soon as you see it.

Thanks.
