Zotero- online features

Before concluding this class, we would like to present you the online features of Zotero. As already taught in the previous video, we strongly advise you to create an online account. And here is why. You may want to share your literature review with your advisor, or you are currently working with colleagues on a common project. The online account allows you to share a complete bibliography. And here is how. Let’s log in. As I already created an account, I just log in. Here you can see all my references and articles. It is obviously the same as in the standard learn Zotero. Here, it is full references we added previously and you can see it on the website of Zotero. But, let’s focus on the group window. As you can see I am already a member of one, but let’s create a new one. Let’s call it Phd mooc polytechnique. You have several option. Let’s choose Private membership. Here you have other option. I’ll let you go through it. You can see that the group is well created. If I go back to Group, you can see the new Group we’ve just created. If we go back on the standalone software, you can see on the left the library of groups. If I update my software, you can see that the new group appears. Let’s add some references. The first we already created, they appear effectively on the group. Let’s just update again. And if I go to the group, you can see the full references with just added. But the point is not here. If we are going on member settings, you can send more invitation to add member on this group. Let’s add Alexandre. You can, of course, add a personal message. Once Alexandre has accepted the invitation, he will have access to those references. And the real advantage is, he will have access to all the comments of the membership of the group. Here, you can see that I’ve highlighted some sentences of these articles, Alexandre will have access to it. Quite useful for us.
