2 Prompter Screens

A word about the executive teleprompter.

As I mentioned to you at the beginning there’s a lot of different types of teleprompters it could be just an iPad next to your phone or an iPhone next to the camera.

There can be the traditional broadcasters through the lens teleprompter where you’re able to look right into the camera and there is what public speakers use where it’s on two sheets of glass about five feet in front of you on either side.

Basically

forty five degrees this way from dead center and forty five degrees that way.

That’s what the president of the United States uses.

I do want to give you a couple of tips on that one because you’ve got two different teleprompter screens in front of you.

And here’s what some people do when they have that situation they’re reading like this for a set amount of time a couple sentences for 10 seconds and then they go like this and they’re reading for a set amount of time 10 seconds and then they’re like this and after a while it kind of seems like they’re at the U.S. Open tennis tournament.

It’s too consistent.

So what I would recommend is certainly you look at one for a while maybe you make that longer 30 seconds and then slowly think of the last sentence there say that out loud here.

Now you come over here for say 15 seconds see what the last sentence is.

Say it out there then come back.

The whole key is variety.

You just don’t want to seem like a clock or anything robotic.

So that’s why I recommend if you’re going to have the two different screens don’t just go back and forth because that’s a sure sign a dead giveaway that you’re using a teleprompter and not that effectively.

Now there are other teleprompters that are large and on the ground or even way up high in his stadium or in an auditorium where it’s right below the balcony.

You can see it the key of course is make sure you know where they ha.

Make sure you can see it and don’t stare at any one of them too long and don’t be consistent with the way you go around and use them.

You’ve got to mix it up that way you’ll just seem like you’re speaking to people and that’s what we want.
