متن انگلیسی درس

When was the last time that you were bored.

Can you remember.

You see we actually live in a world where boredom has become less and less common.

When I was a kid I remember so many times when I used to be bored.

We don’t have smartphones with all these apps games and internet all around us.

It was very easy to be bored.

And recent studies have shown that this lack of boredom that we experienced in our day to day lives

less and less is actually bad for us.

Being bored is actually an important thing.

It allows that diffuse mode of thinking to happen.

It allows us to think of creative solutions to think about things to strengthen our neural connections

and create those connected chunks of knowledge and form them into long term knowledge.

Being bored is actually quite important.

And being constantly distracted by listening to podcasts always browsing the internet watching YouTube

videos is actually bad for our brain and in the next lecture we’re going to learn a little bit more

about science of boredom and how being bored is actually a good thing.

And by the way if you’re thinking wow Andre’s lessons are so boring.

Maybe this is just a strategy for me to make you a better learner.

Hmm hmm.

Think about that.

OK maybe not.

Maybe I’m just boring.

I’ll see you in the next lecture by.
