Nobody Cares About What Is Easy for You To Do

I can’t do that.

You know it’s just easier for me to write words that’s how I’ve always made PowerPoint.

I hear that.

Guess what.

Kind of gave you some tough love here.

Here’s the one thing I’m absolutely confident of about your audience.

They don’t care about you.

No I don’t mean to suggest that are mean or out to get you but your audience doesn’t care about what’s easy for you to create in a PowerPoint slide.

All they care about is what’s interesting for them what’s useful to them What’s memorable for them so if it takes you a couple of extra minutes to go to Google Images find a rights free image that you put insert in your PowerPoint slide.

It’s going to be worth it if it helps your audience understand your idea more.

They don’t care that it’s fast and easy for you to type quickly.

You know it’s fast and easy for your audience to do ignore you and catch up on their e-mail.

So it can’t be about what’s most convenient for people.

Everything you do when you’re creating your PowerPoint presentation has to be looked at through the lens.

Is this truly helping my audience understand.

Remember the ideas more effectively if not you shouldn’t be doing it.
