Answer These Questions Before Using Video In PowerPoint Presentations

Should you use video and PowerPoint presentations now since I give speeches and PowerPoint presentations on how to give speeches I do often use video clips to demonstrate the point but in general I would advise you not to use video just for the sake of video because there are so many more complications with video it may look fine on your laptop but then you get to the venue.

Somebody forgot the speakers or somebody forgot the cord from the computer to the speaker.

It just seems like the majority of the time when I see people using video and their PowerPoint presentation they’re spending the first five minutes apologizing to the audience and then giving up.

If you’re going to use video then it’s even more important to get to the venue.

Practice it on the actual speakers on the actual computer make sure the computer has any plug ins you need players do not do not get up in front of an audience and expect a video just to play on your PowerPoint.

If you haven’t rehearsed it in that room on that machine with those speakers.
