Now it’s your turn.
I want you to look at the list that I included in the previous lecture of sound byte elements.
You can always reference it from the books as well.
I need you to brainstorm on soundbites for the messages you created during the last homework section in the previous section.
I need you to come up with at least half a dozen sound bites for each one of your message points when you’re doing this.
I recommend you just go into a brainstorming mode.
Don’t be hypercritical.
Don’t look at it through a legal lens a security lens political correctness lens just brainstorm.
Get them all out there.
The only thing you’re trying to figure out is is this on my message and does it have one or more soundbite elements.
If it has the soundbite elements write it down.
You can always go back and scratch them off if you’re uncomfortable with it.
But write down as many as you can.
And then what I’m going to ask you to do is to state them out loud to record them.
Pull out your trusty cell phone or your webcam your iPad record yourself delivering your messages delivering your sound bytes build a comfort level with them listen to it.
Figure out what you like what you don’t like and keep doing this until you’re convinced you have great soundbites on message.
And if you really want to get extra credit as I mentioned before and the other sections upload that video to YouTube Facebook some file sharing service and post the link right here in the Q and A section let me listen to them and watch them and let your fellow students listen to them as well.
I look forward to seeing them.
