What mindset can you have to appreciate your progress so far and continue your progress beyond the course?

Hopefully, the rewirement you chose to do is starting to feel a little bit more automatic and that's the goal. This idea that you can continue getting better over time to not focus on your performance but on how much you're learning. What else can you do to make this rewirement a real part of your life?

You've also made it a whole month where you're focusing on improving your habits and having a better life. Really we just want you to grade based on the effort that your peers put into the project. At this point you've learned everything that the science of psychology has to say about how to live a better life and now it's up to you.

But also kind of overcoming the habits we have built up based on our old expectations about happiness like, you have to spend that time productively whereas we saw in the course, grades which is probably a lot of what you're working on, It's not going to help. But I think the fact that I fell asleep so quickly was a nice way to relax and it did feel like I was kind of sleeping more soundly after that so that's good. This was something that I emphasized to do perhaps shamefully, but if one can be ashamed of one's human nature, I'm the professor teaching this and I'm still having as much trouble putting these kinds of strategies into places as like you guys are taking the class.

As you've seen, the research suggests that that's the kind of thing that's going to increase your happiness over time. And so, I send you off to do the real work that will continue to increase your happiness and your well-being. Continue to keep doing these practices and put the science that you've learned into effect in your own life.
