Here’s a brutal truth and that is the dip.

No matter what when you start learning a new topic or when you’re trying to achieve mastery there’s

gonna be periods of low points where you feel like you’re never gonna get there.

And we talked about that with the obstacles that we encounter the obstacle principle.

But here’s another truth and this is a brutal one but you have to accept there is a possibility that

you’re simply not cut out for the path ahead because not everybody can become anything.

Some people are never going to be professional gymnasts.

Some people are never going to be musicians and some people are never going to be good coders or programmers.

This does happen and Seth Gordon actually talks about this in his book The Dip.

It’s what the book is about.

You can try hard and do things and push through and have perseverance and drive.

But sometimes the path might be a wrong pursuit for you and it’s just as important to know when to quit

to turn around and do something different.

As it is to push and go over the obstacles.

So I want to prepare you for that.

When you hear you can do anything you set your mind to.

Sure maybe but we have limited capacity in our brains as you will see we have limited time on this earth.

So the path that we pick has to be a smart path a smart choice.

Push enough so that you can overcome those obstacles but also know when the dip is there and when you

should turn around not very motivational his it but it’s the truth.
